In January 1983, Edwin started the first Evangelical church in the island nation of Malta. Five years later, the government officially recognized the church he had started.
Edwin was instrumental in starting several of the 18 Evangelical churches on Malta. In 1995, Edwin and Sylvia started traveling to a close North African country to minister to the expatriate church in the capital.
Although he has remained the pastor of the local church, much of his time is dedicated to working among North Africans. His main activities include the organizing of a consultation in Malta with over 600 participants to pray, strategize, and plan how to work together to reach North Africa. Edwin and Sylvia travel all over the region to Encourage, Educate, Equip, Empower, and Engage the indigenous believer.
Edwin is the North Africa and Middle East Area Director and sits on our International Leadership Team. He also works to raise funds for much needed and strategic projects in the region and to help support North African national church planters.
