Kostya and Tanya are a small family of two. Tanya is a fourth-generation Christian and found the Lord in her teenage years at a Christian camp. Since then, she has committed herself to spreading God's love and the joy of being loved among those who are lost.
Kostya was found by the Father on the street, lost in addiction and totally broken—a man without hope but with a dream of becoming a human, a son, and a friend again. On that very day, Kostya decided he would commit his life—the second one that the Lord gave him—to sharing the Gospel and spreading the Kingdom among the hopeless and lost.
Before Kostya and Tanya met, they were both involved in the Lord's work in their churches. Tanya served orphans with disabilities, and Kostya dedicated himself to street evangelism ministry.
One day, after they got married, they decided to ask God if He wanted them to become missionaries, and it didn’t take long to get an answer. The Lord responded with a question. A week later, after they started to pray, their pastor asked what they thought about going with the fire of the Gospel to the most unreached. And so their journey began…
They attended a missionary school, during which God clarified their calling, telling them they were needed in a country known as Aland.
That was six years ago, and since then, the Lord has been preparing and forming them for their calling. Throughout their journey, there have been many ups and downs, wins and losses, but all of them were precious lessons in God's school.
Kostya's and Tanya's dream is to see a local church being born. Their vision is to find and disciple strong local leaders who will become a firm foundation of the local church—the rocks upon which the Lord will build His church in the country. At the same time, they don’t want to miss the precious coins that were lost and need to be found, even though not all of them will become leaders.
Being aware they are not the most educated, skilled, or gifted, Kostya and Tanya don’t trust in themselves but in the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. They only wish to be the candles in God's hand, used to find precious coins.
