The Great Commission: Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.
Our family is from East Asia, and I am the third generation of Jesus followers as Timothy. From 2006 to 2014, as I was studying for my bachelor's and master's degree in university, I served in a campus fellowship. I got the call to do missionary work from one East Asian worship song, “Mission of East Asia,” I couldn’t stop crying whenever singing this song. After then, I got one word from God, “GO.” Therefore, as soon as I graduated from university, my wife and I joined a company to work abroad in Nigeria, although we were not clear, “Where to GO.”
After working in Nigeria for two years, my wife and I felt some changes should be made. In 2016, as my wife was pregnant for my first child, both of us resigned and decided to join another company in A-Land on an agriculture project at the end of 2016. God trained us on doing business and led us to focus on the Muslim groups until now. During the four years’ work here in A-Land through the new way of DMM (Disciples Making Movement), I understood the deeper meaning of the Great Commission, “Make Disciples of All Nations.” We came here not to make friends, build relationships, and even not for planting churches, but to make disciples.
Now Lord leads our family to keep focusing on the unreached Muslim groups with the strategy of Doing Business as Mission. Nowadays, East Asia’s economy is also very blessed by the Lord, thus through which to bless the west Asia countries.
Since August 2020, our family has been part of the larger Global Fellowship family. We plan to move to A-Jan and begin our work there in 2021, the first time to serve HIM independently without joining any companies. I hope to cooperate with more people who have the same burden as us.
