Recent flooding in a hard-hit area of South Asia has displaced families and left many without reliable food, shelter, or clean water. This project will provide emergency assistance to 500 vulnerable families, representing about 2,500 people. Each family will receive a 30-day supply of staple food, temporary shelter materials, blankets, mosquito nets, hygiene supplies, water purification tablets, and a solar light. Priority will be given to widows, families with young children or pregnant mothers, older adults, people with disabilities, and those whose homes were destroyed. The total project need is $24,900, or about $49.80 per family, including the cost of reaching communities that may be difficult to access.
Our local ministry partners will distribute the supplies, document what is provided, and submit a final financial and project report. As they meet these urgent physical needs, local believers will also share the gospel and bring the light and hope of Jesus into this difficult situation. Gifts to this fund will help families through the immediate crisis while helping local believers serve their neighbors in Christ’s name.
